Digital technologies are transforming the delivery of care and health outcomes.
Across the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System our partners are using and developing digital technology to enable people to access the care they need quickly and easily, when and how it suits them. Innovative technology also enables health and care professionals to communicate with patients and with each other better to ensure the best care for our population.
From online resources and apps that make care and advice easy to access wherever you are, to connected computer systems, via the Shared Care Record, that enable health and care professionals across disciplines to make informed decisions for patients, technology is the enabler for better care for everyone.
Health and care partners are committed to improving people's experiences and giving them greater control over their own health, which is why we’re developing a new health and wellbeing portal that will enable people to access and manage things like details of forthcoming health appointments and ensure that people are empowered and supported to manage their health conditions better.
We’re exploring new models of care, such as virtual wards, and utilising technology such as automated calling to help reduce the waiting list backlog caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We’ve also opened a new digital innovation hub to enable us to be a leader in developing new health and care solutions to benefit people living in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
