Physical activity plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing mental wellbeing. Engaging in regular activity has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress by triggering the release of endorphins—natural mood lifters that promote a sense of happiness and relaxation. It also improves sleep quality, boosts self-esteem, and fosters a greater sense of control and resilience. Beyond the biological effects, physical activity often encourages social interaction and provides a healthy outlet for coping with daily pressures, making it a powerful and accessible tool for maintaining mental health.
