Health and care partners across Herefordshire and Worcestershire are delighted to be supporting Learning Disabilities Week and the collaborative nature of great work undertaken across health and social care partners in our two counties.
Rachael Skinner, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire said: “Learning Disabilities week provides a great opportunity to celebrate inclusion and raise awareness, including having discussions about what it is to have the lived experience of a Learning Disability and challenge some of the perceptions that others may have.
“It’s a chance to empower people and celebrate diversity and the many incredible things that those living with a learning disability continue to achieve.
“There is a range of events to smash the myths about a learning disability, celebrate people's achievements and have a week of fun and activity throughout the week and we encourage as many people as possible to come along and take part.”
