We think that it is important that people living and working within Herefordshire and Worcestershire can easily share their views, needs and ideas on the health and care services that we arrange and provide.

Tackling the causes and consequences of health inequalities across health and care is a central priority for our system, one that has been given new focus by the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on those people and communities who already face the worst inequalities.

Working with people and communities that experience health inequalities will be a key part of addressing unequal and unfair access to services and health outcomes across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. It is only by understanding the experiences and perspectives of those who face barriers to care and support, and have poor experience and outcomes, that opportunities for improvement can be identified and developed.

Our approach to working with people and communities across Herefordshire and Worcestershire is described in our Engagement Strategy
